Australia’s First-Ever Chuck E. Cheese Has Opened In Joondalup

American pizza party legends Chuck E. Cheese have finally landed in Australia–and in good news for Perth’s many pizza lovers (we see you, we love you), the very first store has opened on the west coast this week, bringing their signature cheesy pizzas, arcade games and larger-than-life mouse mascot with them. Chuck and the crew announced in March that their Aussie flagship would land in Joondalup, with doors welcoming in the hordes from 6 September.

If you’re not in the know, Chuck E. Cheese is not for the lactose-intolerant. We’re talking a stacked pizza menu alongside American family favourites like chicken wings, cheesy garlic bread, and warm cookies. In a nod to Australian tastes, they’ve also expanded the menu to include "lighter" options like smoothies and milkshakes.

There's plenty to keep the kids entertained, so you'll actually be able to enjoy a slice or two while they're still hot. For the adventurous, there's the Adventure Zone, a multi-level indoor playground guaranteed to occupy the kids. We're talking 6 metre high, interactive rock climbing walls, a ball pit with inflatable boats, a giant spiral slide, and a Ninja Warrior-style obstacle course.

Then there's the Game Zone, where the young and young at heart alike can unleash their competitive side on over 100 arcade games, plus an interactive light-up dance floor for a quick boogie. Disco divas look out.

But my favourite part? The dedicated parents retreat, where mum and dad can recharge and reset. Blissful. And yes, you can hold your child's next birthday party here (or your own) from the sanctity of VIP party rooms.

With the Chuck E. Cheese team partnering up with local hospitality group Royale Hospitality Group (Milky Lane, Planet Royale and Outback Jacks) there’s plenty of local knowledge behind the scenes.
