Otherside Brew Lounge | Perth Airport T2
Passports, baggage limits and online check in—there’s plenty to get organised when it comes to travel, but fortunately with an endless string of high-quality dining choices at your fingertips, Perth Airport makes finding a pre-flight feed easy.
To help you pick where to eat, we asked our ever-commuting Perth team for some of their fave reccos of where they love to snack and sip before they fly. Here are nine great spots to eat and drink at Perth Airport before your next escape.
Common Bar + Kitchen
Terminal 4
A great spot for some fresh pub grub, Common Bar + Kitchen showcases hearty, healthy plates using only the freshest local produce on offer around WA. If you’re travelling on a budget, you can nab three bar snacks like their Phillly cheese steak sliders, salt and pepper calamari or fried chicken wings for a very wallet-friendly $30 all up, or if you’re in the mood for a graze, why not opt for a charcuterie or ploughman’s board loaded with cured meats, cheeses and fresh sourdough.
CJ’s Bagel Co
Terminal 4
Our Commercial Director Leilani loves to bring the midtown Manhattan vibes to her travels with one of CJ’s Bagel Co’s stacked-up creations when she heads over East. Go all out with an American-inspired Hot Hank that oozes bacon, egg, cheese and buffalo sauce, or treat yourself with The Elvis that flaunts banana, peanut butter and bacon for that ultimate sweet and salty combo. Coffee snobs can grab their fix of fresh WA roasted Leftfield coffee or some of our absolute fave Mary Street Bakery donuts.
Loco Poco
Terminal 1 International
Discover the Mediterranean charm of Loco Poco, a little slice of vibrant, Euro-inspired cuisine serving up an array of shared table delights. From their empanadas to their locally sourced braised beef cheek and tasty authentic Spanish churros, you’ll catch our team perusing the menu over a zesty cocktail or one of their WA regional wines before a long-haul flight.
Otherside Brew Lounge
Terminal 2
The laidback Otherside Brew Lounge is an ideal base to perch before boarding with tasty locally-brewed craft beers and wines from our beloved Margaret River region. If you're needing a hearty feed, you can't go past their their Thai Beef Salad or Mexican pulled pork Barbacoa Burger that'll beat any in-flight snack in our humble opinion.
Hatchery Collective Bar & Grill
Terminal 4
This delightful all-rounder has hungry bellies sorted from dusk 'til dawn with an extensive breakfast, bar bites and all-day menu ideal for the entire crew. Forget breakfast in the packing chaos? Grab an acai bowl, avo smash or buttermilk pancake stack. Craving a hearty lunch? Our Head of Content Tess will never say no to a Gage Roads beer battered fish or a good ol’ New York-style reuben teamed with a cheeky pre-flight cocktail to get you in the holiday zone.
PRONTO by Macchinetta
Terminal 4
Bringing that homestyle slice of la dolce vita to your commute, PRONTO by Macchinetta’s a no-brainer for those Italian-loving travelers in dire need of a pre-flight coffee fix. Using 100% fair trade organic coffee beans and slinging a ton of handmade Italian pastries, cannolis, custard-filled bomboloni and delish brekkie wraps, rolls and salads, you’ll find our Commercial Content Producer Renee loading up on a little snack (or three) before her next cross-country adventure.
Little Creatures
Terminal 3
An absolute WA institution, our very own Freo queen and Managing Editor Anna heads straight to Little Creatures for a hit of those Freo good vibes at T3. Devour freshly-made juicy burgs or a few bangin’ quick bites (hello ranch loaded fries) and soak in those same relaxed, bright, airy vibes of their brewery. Better still, their drinks menu supports local bizzes with an extensive range of gutsy WA beers, ciders and vinos sourced from all over our glorious state. Cheers to that.
East x West
Terminal 1 International
Pre-packed plane food not your scene? We don't blame you. You’ll find our Perth Editor Claire savouring a sip or two at this contemporary Japanese izakaya-inspired bar that always delivers on the bold, zesty flavours. Graze on spiced edamame, chicken dim sum or pork belly bites so you’re loaded up before take off, or simply revel in the fact that you’re ahead of schedule with a brew.
Long Neck Public House
Terminal 1 International
Long Neck Public House certainly ain’t your average airport bar. With whopping American-style burgers for breakfast and parmis for lunch plus a great range of vegetarian options (hello shroom burger), you’re guaranteed an epic feed to fill your need anytime from 4am every day of the week. How good.
Sure, we’ve all been guilty of leaving that airport Uber booking to the very last second, but why not opt to ditch the last-minute traffic chaos and settle in for a pre-flight bevvie to kick your holiday off a little early instead? To browse even more delightful dining options and get inspired for your next feed, head to Perth Airport prior to lift-off.
