Golden Hour Greek Island Energy Lands In The Heart Of Perth With FARRA
Golden hour aperitivo and breezy evenings are landing in Perth, setting a new rhythm for long lunches and shared plates. That’s the ethos behind FARRA, a Mediterranean-led dining concept opening inside HYDE Perth in the CBD. Known globally for a livelier beat, HYDE is taking a more laid-back approach here, and one that mirrors Perth’s own coastal cool.
FARRA connects three spaces within the hotel—a dining room, poolside bar and rooftop terrace—creating a venue that moves with you. Breakfast drifts into lunch, afternoons turn into poolside aperitifs, and evenings stretch under city lights as you shift from space to space.

The menu is built around Western Australian produce and takes cues from contemporary Greek dining by way of generous, ingredient-led cooking designed for sharing. Hot and cold meze set the tone, followed by larger plates that anchor the table. Expect fire-kissed lamb tomahawk, mizithra dumplings with zucchini blossom and nigella seed, and kalamaria yemista filled with sujuk and taro skordalia. There’s also a slow-roasted shoulder of lamb served on the bone for two to three, because no Greek-inspired feast is complete without one.
Staples aren’t overlooked. Warm house-baked bread arrives with a trio of dips—tzatziki with pickled cucumber and mint, Santorini fava with sundried tomato and capers, and taramasalata enriched with fig leaf oil and smoked trout roe.

The drinks list follows suit, spanning Greek and broader Mediterranean wines with a strong WA showing. Magnums and jeroboams encourage shared pours, while aromatic, tropical-leaning cocktails are designed for long afternoons by the pool and terrace sunsets that turn into late nights.
FARRA is set to open on Sunday 1 March.
