The festival that nobody asked for but everyone wants is coming to Perth again in November, and frankly, it might just make 2020 worthwhile.
The WA Goon & Nugz Festival announced last month that it would be hitting Perth Mess Hall on Saturday 7 November and the ridiculously affordable tickets sold out fast. But never fear, they've just dropped the news that they'll be adding a second date to the line-up so if you missed out on the first round, be sure to put Friday 6 November in your diary and get your tickets stat.
On the day, four of Perth’s best food trucks will be dishing up all things chicken nuggets, with inspired dishes like BBQ nugget poutine, Philly cheese nugz rolls, nugget burritos, nugz in a cone and more. Vegos won’t miss out on the fun with some faux-nuggets up for grabs too.
As for the booze, a pop-up goon bar will be pouring all your guilty cask wine pleasures along with 'goontails'. And if you’re too sophisticated for boxed booze, there will be plenty of craft beers going around, as well as non-alcoholic options for designated drivers (get an Uber).
Sign up for the chicken nugget eating competition, make the ping pong tables your bitch and request terrible songs from Tomás Ford at the Crap Music Rave Party as you nom on crispy nuggets and knock back your guilty goon pleasures.
Plus, they've added a Crap Music Rave Party to the lineup, so start thinking up terrible songs that you can request.
Tickets will go on sale at 6pm on Sunday 9 August for just $20 (plus booking fee) and you'll want to snap them up quick—last year was a sell out.
