An epic margarita festival is coming next month and we’re ready to let loose. Landing at Market Grounds on Sunday 6 March (ahead of the Labour Day public holiday), the Margarita Festival will come complete with pop-up tequila bars, roving mariachi bands, a frozen margarita caravan bar, taco stalls and more margs and tequila-infused slushies than you’ll ever be able to get through.
If you're feeling brave (or stupid), you can also give Perth's hottest margarita a whirl at this year's fest. With ghost chilli infused tequila, death sauce and a birds eye chilli salt rim, this baby is so freaking hot you'll need to sign a waiver before you even get close to the glass. Milk chaser is optional, but very much recommended.
General admission will only set you back $25 and includes two margs on arrival, so basically pays for itself. But if you've got extra cash to splash (and reckon your liver can handle it), the $69 VIP ticket will score you a seat at the exclusive tequila tasting masterclass along with two bespoke margaritas and a goody bag to take home. Then again, you could also grab a $69 Fiesta Lunch ticket and settle in for a three course Mexican lunch that'll include a pimp-your-own Paleta for dessert and three dazzling tequila cocktails.
