You could spend hours playing dress-up in this gorgeous shop in Wembley. You won’t need to rummage, the fun and original pieces from the fifties, sixties and seventies are all vintage gold. They also sell old cameras, retro homewares and accessories. The cat eye sunglasses are particularly cute.

An absolute goldmine for the thrifting elite, 199 Abernethy road is home to strip of amazing op shops. Find a park then start at one end fo the strip and work your way through Anglicare, Vinnies, Salvos and Good Sammy's. Be warned, these outlets are pretty massive so you may be a while.

How did you get into thrifting?
“I have thrifted from as early as I can remember. All of the outfits I wore were made by my mum or second-hand from the local op shop.”
What's the best piece you have ever thrifted?
"I remember I found a vintage Penny Lane jacket, and it had just been brought into this vintage store, and I was like, wow, this has opened my entire world."
How do you thrift in your day-to-day?
“Being chronically ill, I do most of my thrifting and secondhand shopping online these days. It's a lot more accessible for me.”

This North Perth strip is home to a couple of great op shops. The RSPCA Reloved Fashion store right near Coles is generously stocked with plenty of fashionable finds and just over the road the long-standing Red Cross is stocked with vintage nic-nacs and clothing.

Maylands is quite possibly the holy grail of vintage shopping in Perth. Vinnies, Salvos and Vintage Emporium are all within walking distance of Guildford Road and have got the goods to give your wardrobe a complete revamp. The Salvos is a big store with lots of stock and friendly staff. Vintage Emporium is home to two vintage retailers selling homewares and boho clothing.
