North Freo’s Getting A Sleek New Coastal Eatery From One Of Perth’s Top Chefs
One of Perth’s most celebrated chefs is coming home to the coast. Scott Bridger, a major driving force behind beachside dining icon Bib & Tucker, is headed back to Leighton Beach with his new coastal eatery, Pearla & Co, and with Scott at the helm we’re expecting big things.
Anchored opposite Leighton Beach, and taking over the old Al Lupo site, Pearla & Co is set to be a modern coastal restaurant and bar, with seafood-led menus, local produce, and a strong sense of connection to the coast and community. Expect dry-aged fish, WA shellfish, and oysters shucked to order, all sourced from trusted local growers and fishers Scott has worked with for years.
The name itself nods to both Scott’s nan, Pearl, and the easy Aussie slang of something truly exceptional—a pearler. Inside, the space has been transformed into a serene coastal sanctuary featuring a 10-metre marble bar, recycled jarrah floors, and a FoodCube garden where herbs are picked daily for service.

Joining Scott are co-owner and creative director Amalie White, who’s infused the space with warmth and detail, and head chef Pablo Gosteli (ex-Young George, Casa, Bib & Tucker), who brings a fresh energy to the kitchen.
Pearla & Co is set to open on Wednesday 3 December, but bookings open from Friday 14 November here.
