Here’s What You Need To Know About Perth’s 4-Day Lockdown

By

It's happened again, Perth is going into another snap lockdown for four days beginning last night at 12.01am on Tuesday 29 July until 12.01am on Saturday 3 July, pending up-to-date health advice.

It is now mandatory to wear masks when out and about unless you're doing vigorous exercise or you're in a car on your own or with people from your own household.

Apart from that, you'll only be able to leave your home for one of four reasons that we should all be familiar with by now. You can leave home if you are going:

  1. To work, if you can't work from home.
  2. To shop for essential items such as groceries or medical supplies within 5km of your home.
  3. To exercise, for a maximum of one hour with up to one other adult from your household and within 5km of your home.
  4. To access medical or health services, including to get vaccinated.

If you're not doing one of those four things, you'll need to stay put.

Remember, hospitality venues are open for takeaway only and need your support, so check out who is open for takeaway here.

Of course, if you've been in one of the affected locations or are feeling unwell and you've got COVID symptoms, you'll need to go and get tested.

To make staying home a bit easier, check out all the best things to watch, listen to and read over here, and if you need a face mask, here's where you can buy reusable face masks in Perth
