Turns out pandemics boost pet ownership. More time at home, less time with friends, with walking the dog one of the few lockdown-approved activities that gets you out of the house—it all makes sense. And because more peeps have opted for a pooch of their own to comfort them during these tough times, the market for pet products is booming. (Go figure.)
Coles has clearly been taking note of the 11% increase in national spending on pet care, because they’ve launched a new range of pick-and-mix delights just for your fur babies.
While you pack bags of choc-coated nuts and fat slices of dried mango for yourself, treat your doggo to snacks like peanut butter biscuits, crocodile sausage bites and kangaroo tails.
The Inglewood Coles is the first in the state to receive the new addition as part of their full store revamp, which also features a range of new additions for its human customers, including a tap and go coffee station and freshly-squeezed orange juice station.
The new pet pick-and-mix selection is now available at Inglewood Coles, so if you want to spoil your pampered four-legged bubbas, drop in on your next day out.
