Radiohead Confirm 2027 Australian Tour, Here’s Everything We Know So Far

Turns out, those mysterious Radiohead flyers stamped with “2027” across Melbourne weren't messing with us. 

Radiohead has officially confirmed their long-awaited return to Australia, announcing a mega tour for 2027 and they're not exactly easing back into it. Thom Yorke, Johnny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Philip Selway and Ed O'Bried will play across three cities with multi-night runs locked in for some major cities.

It marks the band's first Aussie tour since 2012, bringing a 15-year wait for local Radiohead fans to an end.

There's a fairly major catch if you're planning on going: you'll need to register before tickets actually go on sale. Here's everything you need to know.

When Is Radio Radiohead Touring Australia?

Radiohead last toured Australia as a full band in 2012, performing arena shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Now, the band is coming in hot, fully locked and loaded to play 16 Australian shows across May and June 2027, across Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.

Perth, RAC Arena—Monday 3 May, Monday 4 May, Thursday 6 May and Friday 7 May

Melbourne, Rod Laver Arena—Thursday 13 May, Friday 14 May, Sunday 16 May, Monday 17 May, Wednesday 19 May, Thursday 20 May

Sydney, Afterpay Arena—Tuesday 25 May, Wednesday 26 May, Friday 28 May, Saturday 29 May, Monday 31 May, Tuesday 1 June.

If you were holding out hope for Brisbane, Adelaide or another city to be added, we'd temper those expectations now. Radiohead has confirmed there'll be no additional 2027 dates, with the Aussie run followed by five shows in Saitama, Japan.

In fact, the band says the Aussie and Japan dates will be its only shows anywhere in the world in 2027.

How Do I Get Radiohead Tickets In Australia?

This one works a little differently to the usual frantic ticket-sale free-for-all.

Fans need to register for access to tickets before they go on sale, a system Radiohead says is designed to reduce the competitions from bots and scalpers.

Australian registration opens at 5pm AEST on Monday 7 September and closes at 5pm AEST Thursday 10 September.

There's no prize for being first either, all regos received during that window will be treated equally. You'll need to register using your name, email address and mobile number and country of residence, as well as nominate which of Perth, Melbourne and Sydney you'd be able to attend (and that's on forward planning). Only one rego per person is allowed but if you're successful, you can purchase up to four tickets.

How Much Are Radiohead Australian Tour Tickets?

Standing tickets are $199, inclusive of fees, while seated tickets range from $139 to $349.
