If you love all things Fringe, you'll wanna take note of this hot new arts and cultural festival from the same crew. Taking over Northbridge this July, RE//Perth will bring an enticing mix of food, culture and family fun to the city this winter—from roasted marshmallows and mulled wine to never before-seen-dance and acrobatics.
Unsurprisingly, it’s the food section of the program (RE//BIRTH) that’s topping our list. Details are still pretty thin, but we do know there’s going to be a massive winter banquet and plenty of high-end degustations and wine-matched experiences. Plus, we’re just dying to hit up the winter market complete with soul-warming classics like roasted chestnuts, fire-roasted marshmallows, mulled wine and hot apple cider.
The centre of the whole fest will be a large-scale performance element (RE//FLECT), where you’ll be able to catch the WA premiere of dance and acrobatic show The Mirror, from multi-award-winning producers Gravity and Other Myths.
Those with little ones in tow can scope out the kids activities (RE//PLAY)—they've got all sorts of winter fun lined up for the school holidays. Think: snow cone creations, snowflake projections, live ice carving, winter-warming drinks, and marshmallow toasting.
Rounding out the four-pronged event is RE//PURPOSE, a series of workshops and events dedicated to recycling and sustainable fashion.
RE//PERTH will land in Perth this July, with a 10-day fest running during the school holidays (4-14 July) and the central hero production running from 2-27 July.
