Live Music, Epic Eats And World-Class Sport: Inside Perth’s Two-Day Summer Rugby Party
Tries, tunes, costumes and chaos. It can only mean one thing…. HSBC SVNS is back in Perth, baby.
For the second year running, the global two-day rugby tournament is taking over HBF Park in February, promising a sun-soaked weekend bursting with fast-paced matches, festival energy and live music that’ll have you grooving between games.
But this is so much more than your average rugby match. Sevens rugby is non-stop, full-throttle, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it action. Each game goes for just 14 intense minutes, with seven of the world’s best players per side putting on a show.
Off the field, it doesn’t slow down. From the first beat of the DJ 'til the last call at the bar, HBF Park transforms into a festival playground. Live bands and roaming performers keep the energy high, a pumping Beach Club sits smack-bang in the centre of the city, multiple bars are stocked with your favourite sips and food stalls serve up everything from hearty meals to sweet treats. Even if you don’t know a scrum from a sprint, you'll want to be a part of this party.
Of course, no Perth Sevens weekend is complete without the optional (but strongly encouraged) dress-ups. We’ve seen it all: a flamboyance of flamingos, Teletubbies sweltering under the scorching WA sun, sumo wrestlers navigating the stands in inflatable suits. Just about anything goes at Perth Sevens, so go big, be creative and fully commit to the bit—bonus points if you can get your whole crew involved for maximum colour and chaos.

Referencing the 2025 HSBC SVNS, Rugby Australia Chief Executive Phil Waugh said, "This year’s event was the best yet—highlighted by the Aussie women lifting the trophy for the first time in seven years in front of a jubilant HBF Park crowd—and I have no doubt the 2026 edition in Perth will be even better."
Tickets are on sale now for this summer spectacle, with bargain multi-day passes for multi-day partying giving you bang for your buck. Get yours here—we’ll see you in the Beach Club!
