SailGP Set To Return To Fremantle In 2027, Bigger And Better Than Ever
After a sell-out debut this year, SailGP is officially returning to Fremantle in 2027, with Perth once again the only Australian stop on SailGP's global racing calendar.
While the Australia Sail Grand Prix will take over Bathers Beach once again in February 2027, organisers are making room for even more spectators with capacity increasing by 35 per cent thanks to an expanded waterside grandstand and a range of new hospitality experiences.
More than 12,000 people attended Perth's inaugural SailGP event in January 2026, which transformed Fremantle's waterfront into a high-energy festival of foiling catamarans, food, drinks and live entertainment. The event also delivered a global broadcast audience and millions in economic impact for WA, with similar results expected next year.
The 2027 season is shaping up to be SailGP's biggest yet, with 13 events scheduled across Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, South America and the Middle East. New host cities including Hong Kong and Rome will join the calendar, alongside returning stops like San Francisco.
Tickets for the Perth event go on pre-sale from 18 June, with general public tickets available from 23 June.
