South West House Is Bringing A New Kind Of Barefoot Luxury To Dunsborough This Summer
Dunsborough is about to get a serious upgrade to its accommodation scene. South West House, a brand-new 54-room hotel, is set to open its doors over the summer of 2026/27, slotting neatly between the town centre and the sparkling waters of Geographe Bay. Spread across three storeys, the hotel leans into an independent, design-led, barefoot-luxury feel, with Heartwood Products woven through the interiors and a wellness centre, gym, gallery, bar and landscaped alfresco area rounding out the offering.
South West House has locked in one of the region's genuine culinary heavyweights. Aaron Carr, the chef behind Dunsborough favourite Yarri Restaurant and Bar, will spearhead the hotel's dining, with hand-rolled pasta and a distinctly Mediterranean sensibility set to anchor the menu, leaning into the South West's reputation as one of WA's most exciting food regions.
Location is doing plenty of heavy lifting too. With Geographe Bay a short stroll away and Dunsborough's cafés, galleries, surf breaks and wineries all within easy reach, South West House is shaping up as a genuine base camp for exploring one of the state's most loved corners, keep an eye out for booking details ahead of its summer debut.
