Synthony, The Banging Orchestral Dance Concert, Is Coming To Perth For One Night Only

a stage with an orchestra on it

Ever wanted to hear Avicii's Levels in C Minor with the Perth Symphony Orchestra? Yeah, us neither, come to think of it. But it does sound like one awesome mash-up.

Welcome to the world of Synthony—a world-wide movement that pairs famous orchestras with flat-cap wearing DJs to host wall-to-wall banger-fests. And after sell out shows in Melbourne and Brisbane, it’s finally coming to Perth on Friday 3 September.

Here’s what to expect. The Perth Symphony Orchestra will be taking to the stage at RAC Arena, alongside some of Australia’s best DJs and live performers. The whole motley crew will then assault your frontal cortex with dance floor bangers from the last 30 years of electronica. No Mozart, we promise.

This year, the brand new line-up features the likes of Avicii, Eric Prydz, Fatboy Slim and Basement Jaxx, just to name a few. You can also expect lasers, visual effects and everything else it takes to get you and 3,999 other partiers dancing with both hands in the air.

Here’s the line-up we know so far: Ilan Kidron (Potbelleez), Miss Connie (Sneaky Sound System) Emily Williams, Ella Monnery, Greg Gould, Mobin Master, Andy Van (Madison Avenue/Vicious Records) and Mark Dynamix. The whole place will be pumping.

Tickets go on sale at 10am, Thursday 17 June. Buy one for your grandpa while you’re at it. You can pre-register over here.
