A World Exclusive Has Landed In Perth—Here’s Why You Need To See It

We know the Roman Empire lives rent-free in our boyfriends minds, but this year its the Chinese Empire thats set to dominate our thoughts and Instagram feeds.

From now until February next year, WA Museum Boola Bardip is hosting Terracotta Warriors: Legacy of the First Emperor, the world-exclusive exhibition stealing the cultural spotlight in the heart of Northbridge.

Step back in time and wander among the real-life clay army, built way back in 246 BCE to guard China’s First Emperor in the afterlife. There are over 225 artefacts on display, including eight of the life-sized warriors plus ancient relics straight from Qin Shi Huang’s tomb.

If you’re thinking this is anything like the stale school excursions of your teen years, think again. The exhibition is loaded with mood lighting, immersive technology and cinematic drama to send your screen-time stats plummeting.

And then, just when you think you’ve hit peak culture, Jade Nights enters the chat. Every Friday from 5:30pm, skip the daytime crowds and enjoy exclusive access to the exhibition. These adults-only, after-dark events feature low lighting, live music, curated performances and a themed bar pouring drinks worthy of an ancient dynasty.
