Forrestdale’s New Farm-To-Fork Gem Is Dishing Up Breakfast Bowls And A Fisherman’s Broth
Farm-to-fork dining has landed in Forrestdale with the opening of The Good Paddock, a rustic yet refined family restaurant. Offering a very good reason to get out of the city this spring, It’s the latest from family-run farm 11 Acre and celebrates the farm’s own harvest.
Expect a seasonal menu packed with 11 Acre’s produce. Think breakfast bowls bursting with just-picked fruit, farmhouse omelettes with chorizo, long-lunching dishes like La Delizia burrata with butternut caponata, beef tataki à la garden, pork and greens, and a comforting fisherman’s broth with crusty bread. Produce is grown on-site or sourced from local growers who share the same regenerative philosophy as the 11 Acre team.
Got kids to wrangle? There’s landscaped gardens and orchard to wander, alpacas and goats to meet, and Cubby Lane, a cubby-house lined kids paradise.
The farm has also opened casual offshoot Cubby Kiosk, after the closure of its Cubby Cafe to make room for The Good Paddock, so you’ve still got somewhere to pick up a coffee and pastry to go.
