Puff up your hair and prepare to race back to the 80s, because the must-see musical comedy The Wedding Singer arrives in Perth next year.  Revisiting the classic 1998 movie of the same name starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, the feel-good show will have you smiling from start to finish with a dazzling new soundtrack that "does for the 80s what Hairspray did for the 60s."

For those unfamiliar with the plot, it follows the story of Robbie Hart, a successful wedding singer turned trouble maker, who after getting left at the alters sets out to make every wedding as miserable as his was. That is until he meets one special bride-to-be and the girl of his dreams and changes his tune.

The Wedding Singer has sold out on Broadway and across the UK, and we're not too surprised to hear it's selling quick here too given the talent on board. Musical director, Daniel Puckey, has worked on big gigs like The Book of Mormon and The Wizard of Oz before, and choreographer Michael Ralph has been awarded for his role in choreographing moves for Bring It On: The Musical, so you know you're in good hands.

Catch it while you can at His Majesty’s Theatre from 25 February to 13 March 2022.
