For One Weekend Only This Mount Lawley Gem Is Dishing An Exclusive Wagyu Feast

By

If you possess a love so (medium) rare for beef that only the very best from the West will do, you’ll want to read on.

WA’s premium beef brand West Rivers Wagyu is dishing its prime beef for Wagyu + Wine. The one-off dinner will showcase the brand's exquisite beef alongside our state’s next-level local produce.

For fans of a good steak dinner, West Rivers Beef is the Formula One of beef. The Wagyu cattle are fed a specialised diet, resulting in a premium cut of marbled beef each time.

Hosting the night of decadent feasting is none other than Mount Lawley’s bustling Bar Vino, happening on Thursday 28 November.

What’s On The Menu

The four-course feast, designed by Bar Vino Chef Henry Huang, will begin with a glass of Franciacorta and two canapes: a tangy tartare made with West Rivers Wagyu rump and south west’s shellfish Leeuwin Coast Albany Rock Oysters, topped with a refreshing champagne granita.

After the salty seafood snack, the entree will get you back on the beef with a ridiculously rich, pillowy West Rivers Wagyu beef cheek raviolo.

The headliner is, you guessed it, West Rivers Wagyu. But this is no ordinary steak. The MB8-9+ striploin on the menu is the Rolls Royce of beef cuts, flecked with fat and full of flavour with the highest marbling score on the market. Served simply with leek, gremolata and a juicy jus, it’s the delectably high-quality beef that makes this dish sing.

You didn’t think the dessert would skimp on the beef, did you? The final course is a frangipane, elevated with buttery beef tallow to give the sweet treat an unmistakable umami flavour.
