Each year, thousands of people descend upon Sakura in Japan with the hope of spotting dusty pink cherry blossoms in bloom.
Travelling is great and all, but what if we told you you don’t have to go so far to set your eyes on these mystical trees?
From 14 to 30 September, S&R Orchard in Perth’s Hills will be throwing its annual Blossom Festival. And the best bit, the orchard is only a 30-minute drive from the Perth CBD, so you can stop scouring the web for cheap flights to Tokyo.
For three straight weeks, visitors will get to bask in the beauty of the S&R Orchard in full bloom, get among some traditional Japanese eats and drinks, peruse market stalls and perhaps even ride a pony, if that’s your thing. Bonus, pets are welcome.
Bring your best ‘Gram game, $10 entry fee ($5 during the week) and start practising your best Owen Wilson “wow” impression.
