On most Mondays, willingly waking up before sunrise is reserved for the wildly motivated, the gym loyalists, the bakers and baristas. Unless, of course, it’s for Super Bowl Monday. Once a year, Perth/Boorloo collectively decides time zones don’t matter, breakfast beers are medical, and emails can wait.

On February 9, pubs all across our sunny city will be swinging open their doors at the crack of dawn, firing up the grills, pouring icy cold pints and blasting the Super Bowl LX live across every screen available.

Set your alarm. Call in sick. Here’s where to watch the Super Bowl LX.

Stirling Arms Hotel

117 James St, Guildford WA 6055

Loose, loud and gloriously greasy from 7am, the Stirling Arms Hotel’s Super Bowl party isn’t going to be a gentle start to the week. Expect screens in the beer garden and band room, $7 Coors all day, trash-can nachos (which are a lot more delicious than they sound), buffalo wings and a brekkie burger built to absorb all those early morning beers. Snag a prime position in the beer garden here

The White Horse Tavern

124 Amazon Drive, Baldivis WA 6171

Southsiders—why take the trek to the CBD when Baldivis is already saddled up and ready to ride? The recently re-opened White Horse Tavern is serving Super Bowl LX without the city stress, boasting big screens, buzzing crowds, food specials and $11 Heineken pints from 7am. Giddy up

The Bentley Hotel

1120-1124 Albany Hwy, Bentley WA 6102

It should come as no surprise that Bentley’s beloved sports bar and bistro is showing the Super Bowl from 7am, but it’s the special brekky menu that’s stealing the spotlight. Enter the Giant Yorkie Fry Up: a full-blown English breakfast of all the hits, served inside a colossal, calorific Yorkshire pudding. Now THAT’S what we call breakfast of champions. Book here

The Carrington

330 Carrington St, Hamilton Hill WA 6163

Doors open at 7am for Super Bowl Monday at the Carro, and it’s going to be big. The new 4.5-metre outdoor mega screen is prepped and primed, ready to blast every play under the morning sun. American-style eats will keep you going, and booking a table puts you in the draw to win a Coors NFL prize pack. Entry’s free, but early birds snag the best seats.

Bassendean Hotel

25 Old Perth Rd, Bassendean WA 6054

From 7am sharp, it’s all big-screen action, bargain breakfast specials, ice cold beers and piping hot coffee at the Basso. Easy, breezy, no-fuss Super Bowl viewing—just rock up early and settle in for the long haul. Secure your spot here

Quarter Acre Hotel

767 Canning Hwy, Applecross WA 6153

Quarter Acre’s brand spankin’ new mega screen is making its debut at the Super Bowl. Doors open at 7am, beers start pouring immediately, and the kitchen will be fired up right from the get-go. Kickoff is at 7am, so book a table here while there’s still room.

The Claremont Hotel

1 Bay View Terrace, Claremont WA 6010

Forget about peanut butter and jam toast for breakfast and a standard cup of Joe. The ‘Mont is slinging PB&J shots and espresso martinis from the moment the doors swing open at 7am. Naturally, those kinds of breakfast beverages need backup—think bacon and egg baps or fried chicken and waffles. Bookings essential, get yours here.

J.B. O’Reilly’s

99 Cambridge St, West Leederville WA 6007

Super Bowl, with a side of craic. West Leedy’s rowdy Irish pub J.B. O’Reilly’s is showing the game live and loud from 7am, fueled by $10 pints of Coors and a spread of US-inspired eats: hotdogs, onion rings, curry sauce corn dogs, smash burgers and loaded waffle fries. U-S-A!

Brewdog Perth

16 Gordon St, West Perth WA 6005

Rise and shine, West Perth locals—Brewdog is throwing open its doors at 6am for the Super Bowl’s superfans who don’t want to miss a minute of the pre-game action. Expect multiple screens, brekky specials, and ice cold Brewdog beers straight from the source.

The Globe

495/497 Wellington St, Perth WA 6000

The most important meal of the day is even more important on Super Bowl Monday, but the Globe’s going all out to keep you fed throughout the game. A breakfast buffet will be stacked higher than your game-day expectations, complete with unlimited tea and coffee to fuel the 7am start. Feeling fancy? The $65 VIP package hooks you up with all of the above, plus bottomless bevvies for the second half of the game and priority seating from start to finish. Touchdowns never looked so good. Book here

The Generous Squire

397 Murray St, Perth WA 6000

If missing a single snap is simply not an option, The Generous Squire’s 6am start will speak to your soul. On the brekky menu, find chicken and waffles, banana pancakes, and a waffle burger that’s not for the faint hearted (or for those with high cholesterol). To really impress your mates, we recommend going all out with the 4-litre tabletop keg. MVP behaviour.

Vic Park Hotel

505 Albany Hwy, Victoria Park WA 6100

Don’t even think about hitting snooze on the Vic Park Hotel’s Super Bowl party. Half-time giveaways mean you can still snag a W if your team throws an L, and the big screens won’t let you miss a single slice of the action. Get in early for USA-style brekky plates, washed down with breakfast beers from 7am. Book ahead to lock in your seat.

The Civic Hotel

981 Beaufort St, Inglewood WA 6052

Wake up, roll out of bed, and claim your spot at the Civic for a rowdy morning watching the US’s biggest game of the year. Bacon-and-egg rolls will be hitting the grill early and pints will be pouring from 7am, with every tackle, touchdown and trash talk amplified across the massive TVs. Book your table here

The Royal On The Waterfront

60 Royal St, East Perth WA 6004

Prefer your Super Bowl with a side of the sparkling Swan? Sitting pretty right on the river, The Royal’s whipping up bespoke brekky dishes specifically for the occasion, with nine screens, cold pints and those unbeatable waterfront views. Doors open at 7am, snag your spot here

The Paddo

141 Scarborough Beach Rd, Mount Hawthorn WA 6016

From the very first snap to the final whistle, The Paddo’s going to be heaving. With a whopping 470-person capacity, live-and-loud coverage, food specials and flowing pints, Mount Hawthorn is the place to be. Book a table here or try your luck with an early-morning walk-in.

The Guildford Hotel

159 James St, Guildford WA 6055

Big game, big room. The Guildford Hotel’s huge, recently reno’d Hall was made for mornings like this. The kitchen will be slinging the full menu from 7am, with pool tables on standby if your team isn’t delivering. Lock in a table and make a morning of it.

Varsity

Various locations

Sleep later—your Monday morning begins bright and early at Varsity. The doors at all nine locations crack open at 6am, kicking things straight into Super Bowl mode with wall-to-wall screens, cheap Coors pints, food specials, prizes and giveaways. If you’ve done a Varsity Super Bowl before, you already know about the infamous half-time wing-eating comp. If you haven’t—consider this your warning.

Optus Stadium

333 Victoria Park Dr, Burswood WA 6100

This is the big one. Perth’s biggest, most boisterous Super Bowl watch party is happening at none other than Optus Stadium’s sports lounge. Make no mistake, this is no ordinary Monday morning. A $160 ticket scores you an all-inclusive American-inspired food and drink package, with Southern chicken sliders, breakfast taquitos, mac and cheese croquettes, donuts and more on the menu, with a live DJ, entertainment and door prizes throughout the morning. This one always sells out, so get in quick
