Where To Watch The Super Bowl In Perth

By

So apparently Taylor Swift is going to be attending some sort of American football game next week and there’s a BIG chance she’ll get some air time, which is all we need to know to tune in. If you’re not a Swiftie, there’s a bunch of other reasons to wake up early on Monday, February 12 and watch the Super Bowl.

First of all, it’s a rematch of the 2020’s big dance of the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, and while the Chiefs are the underdogs heading into the Superbowl LVIII, with a few million Swifties cheering them on, it could be anyone’s game. Everyone’s naughties boo Usher is set to put on an epic halftime show, with Reba McEntire, Post Malone and Andra Day taking to the stage before the game.

The best part? So many of Perth’s pubs will be swinging open their doors from as early as 6am (breakfast beers, sanctioned), dishing up American grub, games and drink deals from siren to siren.

Get ready to call up sick on Monday—here’s the best places in Perth to watch the Super Bowl LVIII.

Crown Perth

Burswood

When you’re after non-stop sports on the biggest screens, Crown Sports Bar has well and truly got you covered. They’ve got not one, but two bars, TAB facilities and big screens spaced over an impressive 130 metres, so you'll have no trouble seeing the Super Bowl action. Plus, you can go ahead and order up an American brekky from The Merrywell to fuel your day. Prefer something a little more intimate? Hire ‘The Box’ for a private view of major sporting events, or throw a sports function all of your own.

The Leederville Hotel

Leederville

The Leedy will be opening its doors at 7 am for Swifties and sports fans to watch the 49ers take on the Chiefs on the big screens. Inside, the kitchen crew will be putting on bacon and egg rolls, breaky fries, Mary St doughnuts plus a bunch of other hearty dishes. Pints are $10, jugs of Indi Pale Ale and Swan are $18, entry is free and the game will be loud! Get in early to bags your table.

The Globe

Perth CBD

Treat yourself to The Globe VIP package ($35) and start the day strong with a big breakfast buffet with tea and coffee station. Those very important punters will also get priority seating and go in the draw to win a $100 Globe voucher. Doors open at 7am.

The Saint Hotel

Innaloo

Take your Super Bowl Sunday Monday to the next level with The Saint’s ticketed event. A $40 ticket will get your bottomless beers, wings and fries from siren to siren, with additional food and drink specials available all day long. There’s a bunch of big screens at this neighbourhood favourite and even more taps pouring cold beers, so get in early and pull up a pew in the Saint’s sun-soaked beer garden and alfresco space. Kick off is at 7 am, this is going to be a big one!

Inglewood Hotel

Mt Lawley

Early birds, this one’s for you. Coming to you live from Nevada at the crack of dawn, The Inglewood will be pouring pints, prizes and American-style snacks from 6am. Park yourself up in front of the impressive 3-metre projector screen, try your luck in the game day tipping comp and knock back a few icey cold American beers.

The Bassendean Hotel

Bassendean

All the Super Bowl action is going down at The Basso. Come from 7am for brews (both the beer and coffee varieties), $18 jugs of Swanny D, generous breakfast dishes and a huge range of American style mains. Fried chicken waffles, anyone?

Victoria Park Hotel

Victoria Park

The cool crew at the Vic Park Hotel will be behind the bar from 6am for all of your Super Bowl breaky and beer needs. If you’re not fussed on who wins, Super Bowl Bingo will keep you entertained, with a bunch of giveaways happening throughout the morning. Food specials on the day include American chili dogs, mac and cheese bombs plus chicken and bacon waffles. God bless America.

The Claremont

Claremont

The recently renovated Claremont Hotel is primed and ready for the USA’s biggest sporting event of the year. Breakfast will be served from 7 am ‘til 11 am, so roll out of bed and head on down to the Claremont to settle in for a morning cold drinks, great food and good vibes.

Varsity

Joondalup, Whitfords, Morley

Varsity knows how to throw a Super Bowl party. Across each of the three American-style venues, the game will be playing on every screen loud and live with drinks specials, loaded burgers, prizes and giveaways happening all day. If you can handle the heat, try your luck and test your skills in the half-time wing-eating competition. We’ve got to make it clear: these wings are HOT and not for the faint-hearted. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Scarborough Beach Bar

Scarborough

Head on down the Scarborough Beach Bar to watch America's favourite sport by the sea. The beers will be cold from 7 am, with breakfast stables coming out of the kitchen to fuel you for the day ahead.

Bentley Hotel

Bentley

The Bentley Hotel is getting in on the action from 7 am with tasty breakfast specials, a prize draw and the game on the big screens. With a huge alfresco area and even bigger bistro inside, there’s plenty of space for you and your crew to watch the game.

Leopold Hotel

Bicton

Fremantle favourite Leopold Hotel has everything you need for a solid Super Bowl morning. Heaps of tap beers, heaps of screen, heaps of brekky specials and heaps raffle prizes up for grabs. Entry, as always, is free, and doors will be open from 7 am.

Civic Hotel

Bicton

Park up in front of the projector at this beautiful old pub to watch the Super Bowl in style. From 7 am, there’ll be brekky specials, beers pouring and the game on each and every large plasma screen, with pool tables providing a bit of fun throughout the day.

The Generous Squire

Perth CBD

There’s a VERY generous food special happening at the Generous Squire for the Super Bowl this year. Low and behold, the Burger Tower: two cheese burgers, two chicken burgers, chicken tenders, mac n' cheese, chips and an oozy cheese bath for dipping and sipping, all for just $70.

The Peach Pit

Scarborough

Known for their legendary Sunday seshes, the Peach Pit is keeping the party going on Superbowl Monday with $10 pints from siren to siren. BUT, before you get stuck in, we recommend chowing down on a towering breakfast burger: eggs, bacon, pork sausages and tomato relish on a perfectly toasted bun.

Durty Nelly’s

Perth CBD

Consider Durty Nelly’s Super Bowl party a warm-up before St Paddy’s Day next month.  Open from 7am on Monday, fill up with an Irish fry-up from the brekky menu (bacon, sausage, roast tomato, mushrooms, hash browns and soda bread), served with a side of Irish charm, before sinking a pint or two.
