The Verdict
In case the name didn't give it away, Back Bar is located at the rear entrance of one of our all time favourite cafes, Hylin, along the West Leederville train line, and it's fast becoming one of our all time fave small bars.
There's a lot to like about this place, from the Chris Nixon mural on the wall to the $10 burger specials every Thursday night.
Expect a good selection of wine, tap beers, house spirits, and seriously good cocktails like the Mango Chilli Margherita—a twisted combination of reposado, mango, jalapeno, egg white, and lemon juice. They also have a "pinky fizz" cocktail which is made from pomegranate liqueur and fairy floss, which basically means you can get drunk on candy and that's the dream isn't it?
If you're hungry, order the nachos, tacos, tostadas or one of the aforementioned burgers and thank us later.
