Step inside the intimate bar and you’ll find wooden floors paired with exposed brick walls and plush seating. There’s a cosy fireplace, striking chandelier and pops of film memorabilia. Behind the bar, an impressive range of spirits towers towards the ceiling—chances are they’ve got your favourite tipple on hand. This is where the magic happens as the friendly team shake and stir their way around the bar for your drinking pleasure.

Order one of their signature $9 cocktails and choose between the likes of a tropical martini, a frozen margarita or an oh-so summery mango mojito (our pick of the lot). The best part? The epic budget-friendly concoctions are available all day, every day. Bar Sequel, we like your style.

There’s also a range of premium cocktails with everything from espresso martinis and piña coladas to monkey brains (don’t worry, no monkeys are harmed in the making of the lychee-infused cocktail). Chocolate lovers won’t be able to resist the creamy Toblerone cocktail—it’s like an adult milkshake.

If you’re visiting with your squad, Bar Sequel take things next-level with their teapot cocktails. There are five ‘teas’ to choose from including a fruity Pimm’s number. Summer = sorted. Cocktails aside, you’ll also find beers, an impressive wine list and non-alcoholic numbers. FYI the mocktails are just as good as the real deal.

All that drinking is sure to work up an appetite. Luckily, Bar Sequel has your back… or should we say stomach? We’re talking jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks and chimichangas (aka deep-fried burritos). The bar-slash-eatery also has a reputation for serving some of the best pizza in town. Pop in for a weekday lunch and you can nab said pizza (or sliders) with a drink for just $15—holla.

Visit again on Friday evening for Bar Sequel’s signature TGIF karaoke night. Kicking off from 8pm, the bar blasts all the singalong classics.
