The Verdict

Named after one of Australia’s most famous Prime Ministers and perched atop the historic old West Australian print factory, Bob’s Bar is quintessentially Australian. Easily one of Perth’s best rooftop bars, Bob’s is the perfect place for vitamin D infused lunches, casual drinks after work or weekend pre dinner and post dinner drinks.

Starting with the most important items on the menu, Bob’s booze list is pretty darn impressive. Featuring a ton of draught craft brews, refreshing punches and cocktails, natural, biodynamic and organic wines and hard liquor—there’s something to appeal to all tastes.

Cocktail-wise, The Bob-zie is a must try for the brave—made with five different rums in a tiki style drink and designed to share. In the cooler months you can’t pass up Bob’s Winter Warmer—mulled apple cider with cinnamon, cloves, ginger, maple syrup and vanilla spiced rum. And when summer rolls around it’s best to corral some friends and order a big jug of Bob’s Homemade Ice Tea.

When it comes to the brews, Bob’s Bar stocks a carefully curated selection of local beers and ciders on tap, as well as a constant rotation of quality craft beers—and if you prefer to drink the frothy stuff from cans or bottles, Bob’s have you sorted there too. If you like to nibble while you sip, you can even get some crunchy, 100% Australian, natural pork crackling seasoned with balsamic, sea salt or chilli. Yum!

If you thought the drinks on offer were impressive, just wait until you hear about the nosh at Bob’s. There’s loaded cheese fritz (dirty fritz, bacon and BBQ and ketchup and pickles), as well as a whole lot of tasty sliders and shares on offer. We love Uncle Cleavon’s creole chicken slider with ranch, cheddar and slaw, Bubba’s squid po’boy with chipotle mayo, tomato and pickle and the freshly shucked oysters with hot sauce, of course.

If you need some help coaxing yourself away from your desk Wednesday to Friday, head to Bob’s between 4pm and 5pm where you’ll find happy hour bliss. You can get middi’s from $4, as well as wine and pints from $8. Best deal ever?

What are you waiting for? Climb the Print Hall stairs to the rooftop where liquid gold and foodie deliciousness awaits!
