Brighton Wine Bar

Coastal views, stunning interiors and a seriously good wine list combine at Brighton Wine Bar, soon to open in Scarborough. Perch up on alfresco high tops for an ocean view vantage point, or settle into the moodier plum-leather booths inside for a more intimate affair. Either way, you’re in for a treat. 

At the heart of the venue is the wine offering. A list of 200+ Australian wines, three quarters sourced from right here in WA, including some seriously prestige drops sourced at auctions and through word-of-mouth. Not only do the team here have a love for local wine—as evidenced through the wine list—but they’re keen to share. Courtesy of the Enomatic wine system behind the bar, which helps preserve wine after opening, they’re able to offer top shelf drops by the glass. Except to see a premium line up on offer, including bottles from Moss Wood and Howard Park, letting you sip on something special without committing to the full bottle. Rounding out the offering is a tight selection of local beers on tap and a cocktail list centered around Australian spirits and flavours. 

The kitchen is dutifully stacking up to the high standard set by the bar, plating up a Med-inspired menu that perfectly plays into the coastal vibes and leans heavily into local produce. Feast on fresh-baked focaccia with zaatar butter, picanha beef with salsa verde, saffron cassava puree and zesty pangrattato and handmade seafood ravioli with vongole, saffron foam, burnt caper butter sauce and shaved Bottarga, and expect to see plenty of Fremantle occy, Shark Bay tiger prawns and Abrolhos Island scallops gracing the menu. 

For coastal ambience and an incredible dining experience, this one’s looking hard to beat. Brighton Wine Bar is set to open in early March.
