The Verdict
We've found a slice of Italian heaven at Cafe & Pizzeria Amore Mio in Maylands! Dishing up pizza, calzones, antipasto and desserts just like Nonna makes them, this place is about as traditional as it gets. With over 60 different types of pizzas and calzones, there's a flavour for every occasion, and we've got love heart eyes for their pizza alla carbonara (spaghetti carbonara in pizza form) and their Toto calzone with Italian pork sausage and broccolini. For dessert, you can't go wrong with their dark chocolate mud cake and Nutelloni Maxi—focaccia covered in Nutella. Yum!
Fear not vegans, vegetarians and those of you with tricky dietary requirements, Amore Mio have plenty of vegetarian options, as well as gluten and diary free options.
