The Verdict
Charcoal And Chai in Como caught our attention for all the right reasons. The menu features the most drool-worthy charcoal-grilled Persian street food dishes with plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians (hello smoky marinated eggplant with lemon tahini and vegan feta), but wait, there’s more.
Once you’re done feasting on the grilled plates or wraps made with Persian flat bread, finish off with a serve of rose Turkish delight, baklava, pashmak or lavoshak—all of these are vegan, so everyone can get in on the afternoon tea action. Speaking of tea, the rose and cardamom latte made with rose water, black cardamom tea and date syrup is a unique must-try.
