The Verdict
Since absolutely killing it at the Fremantle Markets and Northbridge, Chimek is now dishing up its delectably good fried chicken in Vic Park. Serving everything from southern fried chicken and Korean sweet and sticky gochujang chicken, to burgers in brioche buns and a drool-worthy Philly cheese steak roll, this place delivers the goods. Their famous charcoal beef burger is a real crowd-pleaser, but the menu also features Spam fries and buttermilk fried chicken waffles if you're up for something a bit different.
Order the Tower of Babel and you'll get a three-tiered stack of chicken featuring your choice of six different flavours or grab a combo to share for maximum value.
Chimek's Vic Park digs are also home to Perth's first sneaker consignment store with the large open plan space divided for dining and drinking (with plenty of room for large groups), plus some classic arcade games and of course, the retail shop.
Stocked brands include big names like Nike, Adidas and Supreme, all in limited edition styles that are pretty damn extra. But the best part has to be the Skill Tester filled with sneakers in the $2000 price range.
Grab a bite, play a round of Mortal Kombat II, NBA Jam or Simpsons pinball, and check out the range of exclusive, limited edition sneakers and streetwear sourced directly from the US and Europe.

Gibney
White tablecloths, marble, jacketed wait staff and caviar bumps—Gibney is hands down the fanciest of all the venues under George Kailis' name. And honestly, it might just take the cake for 'most opulent dining destination' in all of Perth.
Tom’s Providore & Wine Bar
If you’re a Leederville local, you will probably recall the devastation felt the day we discovered the beloved Tom’s Cafe right in the heart of Oxford Street was closing down towards the start of the pandemic. But thankfully since closing the OG, the legends have come back with a new and improved Tom’s in Highgate.
