Get excited, Perth. No longer enjoyed by east coasters alone, Gelato Messina is finally bringing its gelato joy out west, setting up a beautiful new shop at 497 Beaufort St in Highgate.

Considered the crème de la crème of icy treats (voted Australia's best gelato by the Good Food Guide), Gelato Messina features 40 iconic, truly indulgent flavours such as poached figs in marsala, salted caramel with white choc chips (the number one seller) and apple pie, with new special flavours concocted by taste masterminds weekly—baking all additions and churning all flavours on site.

Special occasion? Forget the Freddo ice cream cake and place an order at Gelato Messina—they'll have eight custom made gelato cake creations on offer.

Gelato Messina's new store officially opens Friday 17 November, just in time for all the hot days to come!
