The Verdict
If you're on the hunt for a hearty meal, look no further than Hunter and Barrel in Raine Square. Offering an abundance of different meats, poultry and seafood, we guarantee you won't leave unsatisfied.
Cooked perfectly over hot coals, the food on offer is mouth-wateringly good and will have you coming back for more. We highly recommend trying the oven-baked scallops, served with butter and topped with crispy leeks. Bring your hungriest mate and try the Royal Feast, you'll get to share a hot cheese dip, eye fillet, braised lamb shank and beef short ribs with sides of thick-cut chips and a chopped green salad. Make sure to save room for dessert, the choc walnut brownie is easily one of our favourites. Wanting to try something a little different? Try the caramel pears, roasted in liqueur with caramel mousse and pepita praline, this gem will hit that sweet spot.
It'd be wrong not to order one of the barrel-aged cocktails. The Dark Ages is like an espresso martini with a strong, sweet twist—barrel-aged Hennessy VS Cognac and Tia Maria, fresh espresso and salted caramel syrup are combined to create this delicious thirst quencher, perfect for a boozy night or casual after-work bevvies.
