Hylin
The Verdict
Nestled into a leafy pocket of West Leederville, Perth cafe Hylin’s friendly staff and easy-going vibe make this intimate cafe the sort of unpretentious hangout everyone hopes will open in their neighbourhood.
Taking inspiration from New York’s High Line, the cafe was modelled on the Big Apple’s invigorated railway line and it is drop dead gorgeous inside. The Micrology coffee has caffeine-starved folk lining up from the wee hours of the morning and the all-day menu is bang-on.
Hylin's latest special—the French Toast Croissant—is as pretty as a picture. Think bacon, creme fraiche and berry compote piled high on a French toast-style croissant and drizzled in dragonfruit puree.
