Kicking off on 14 May and running for 20 weeks, Il Lido will be hosting their Dine The Twenty Regions of Italy dinners, celebrating the food and wine culture that surrounds Italy. On offer will be a four-course set menu, with each week celebrating a new region. Head chef Robert Zampogna will pay homage to the local cuisine of each week, and what's on offer for week one already has our mouths watering. Diners will start with an antipasto of speck, sauerkraut and rye seed loaf followed by beef goulash with milk polenta. Secondi is a hot chicken broth with a gorgonzola bread dumpling and parmesan, and the meal ends with regional cheese, pear, plum compote and rye crispbread.
