When we heard the news that Emma Ferguson and Daniel Morris—the duo behind No Mafia and Balthazar—were opening Los Bravos, a Spanish tapas restaurant in Northbridge, well let’s just say it was music to our ears.
With authentic Spanish tiles lining the bar, handmade plates to match, and a record player spinning vintage Spanish tunes, it’s almost hard to believe you’re still in Perth when you’re inside.
When it comes to the menu, the fresh seafood screams coastal Spain but with a unique Los Bravos twist. The 48-hour cured and salted Spanish mackerel from Shark Bay topped with almond, citrus and fresh olive oil is one of the best dishes we’ve eaten in a long while, so go ahead and order two why don’t you.
Drinks-wise, the wine list is decorated with all kinds of Spanish varieties plus plenty of sherry—yes, it’s making a comeback people—and Moritz beer on tap. All of the drinks are best enjoyed with some salted cod fritters and jamon serrano from the tapas menu.
Did we mention it's dog friendly?
