The stunning venue that is Market Grounds in Kings Square is divided into a dining area, a mezzanine, the main bar, a sunken lounge (how luxe) and a garden bar—The Grounds—because we Perthlings love the outdoor life. With plenty of greenery, sunshine and an outdoor bar (of course) we're willing to bet you'll spend at least a few afternoons at The Grounds this summer.
All the food is designed to share, but just try and make us share the chip buttie—next level chips with butter, relish and herb hollandaise served on brioche. A couple of other dishes we will be ordering the minute we step into the dining room include the charred squid with avo, pickled cashews (yes, you can pickle cashews) and ginger dressing and the cracked farro with falafel, cauliflower, orange crisps, almond and tahini dressing. Drool!
