The Verdict

Perth cafe May Street Larder has become a mainstay in the East Fremantle brunch scene, and it's not just for their famous fried chicken waffles (which understandably is a major drawcard). Offering an epic breakfast menu—think: smoked beef brisket hash, apple pie french toast and breakfast burritos, May Street Larder's philosophy centres around seasonal foods and the best produce WA has to offer.

If you're a local, you'll also be glad to hear May Street Larder now does dinner too. Every Friday and Saturday, they'll call final lunch orders at 2pm, offer up happy hour drinks and nibbles from 4pm, then their full dinner service will kick off from 5pm. On the menu, expect Middle Eastern inspired share plates like black garlic hummus with stone oven baked flatbread, lamb racks, cold smoked hiramasa kingfish and more.
