If you’re looking for your next night out, look no further than Perth’s very own Ready Team One, a Virtual Reality experience like no other.
Hidden down a laneway in the heart of the CBD, this Perth-based company has developed the only total body VR system in Australia with finger-tracking which lets your entire body transform into a video game controller right in front of your eyes. It’s guaranteed entertainment.
This unique technology was developed in our own backyard thanks to three mates and you can trust us when we say it’s seriously cool. A ridiculously fun night out while supporting a locally owned small business? That’s something to feel good about.
The VR games can host up to 12 people over the age of 13 per hour and their international award-winning games are customisable to all levels and abilities, whether you’re new to the world of gaming or consider yourself to be a seasoned pro. Got a bigger group? No worries, you can break off into smaller teams or work your way through a few of the sessions in the free-roam arenas.
The in-house developed games range from an alien invasion to a creepy zombie apocalypse that will get your heart racing. All of the games are centred around teamwork and will see you work together to solve problems while surviving enemy assault. The newest game, Tactical Response, is an all-out team competition where players verse each other and every team is vying for the win.
Be prepared to get sweaty, some of these games will give you a serious workout as you roam around the 200 square metre arena designed to give you maximum immersion as the video game avatar. You’ll quite literally feel like you’ve stepped inside your TV screen. Wiggle your fingers and your avatar will throw it right back at you.
The venue also has a viewing lounge where you can sit back and watch your friends and their game in action. Get all sorts of relaxed and laugh while they weave through fire and fight off invaders—just make sure you take a sneaky snap or ten. Open by appointment only Monday to Wednesday and as per the opening hours from Friday to Sunday, we reckon this one is the ultimate night out for a bit of team bonding.
