The verdict
Sorganic Sourdough Bakery in Subiaco is crafting some seriously delicious bread using a 30-year-old organic sourdough mother. The traditional sourdough’s bite is spot on, but we’re a tad obsessed with the fruit loaf and its combination of chewy, dense sourdough and sticky fruit (think apricots, figs and plump raisins) surrounded by the crunch of a perfectly wood-fired crust.
The cafe is doling out decent coffees to complement the baked goods (if you’re stopping in for morning tea, be a lady and order their freshly-made scones. Mm-mm) and the window that separates the bakery from cafe provides a nice viewing of where the magic happens. If you visit on lunch break, the sourdough pizzas looked mouth-watering. Can't make it to Subi? The Good Grocer in Applecross also stocks Sorganic's sourdough goodness.
