The Verdict
From humble beginnings in the Freo Markets, this long-standing Freo fave is now a permanent fixture in the newly developed FOMO Fremantle. For those in the know, Suku has been serving up the authentic flavours of Indonesia since 2019, so when the opportunity for bricks and mortar store was on the table, this twosome originally from Indonesia jumped at the chance.
Featuring authentic dishes such as Beef Rendang, Gado Gado, or our personal favourite Nasi Bali with house-made Suku Sambal, this casual diner-style eatery is ticking all the boxes. Add to that their rotation of seasonal specials and housemade drinks, and you will be booking your tickets to Bali after dinner.
Open for lunch from Thursday to Sunday and serving until 8:00 pm on Friday and Saturday, you will want to get in early as they are known to sell out.
