The Verdict
Bonjour et bienvenue! Bistrot Cafe is one of the latest additions to the dining scene in beautiful Fremantle. Serving up European dishes that draw inspiration from modern Australian cuisine, we can’t get enough of this place. It’s the creme de la creme of homely cafe dining.
Tucked beneath lush green trees on the gorgeous Esplanade, Bistrot Cafe Fremantle is located on a cosy corner—think rustic indoor and outdoor seating in a picturesque courtyard. Did we mention there’s a coffee hatch on the street? Tres chic.
Starting out in 2016 in Bibra Lake, Bistrot Cafe was founded by Austrian hospitality guru Angie Kosse and we couldn’t ask for a better host. Having grown up helping in her family’s cafe in Salzburg, followed by endless hospitality experience in the Alps and Vienna, she brings a wealth of expertise to the Perth foodie scene. It’s safe to say we’re chomping at the bit.
With a sponsorship from a Michelin Star chef under his belt, Chef Yohann Crampton has put together a truly unique dining experience that delivers something for everyone. Whether it’s a morning coffee and croissant, lunchtime homemade hummus or a romantic red wine dinner, you can expect nothing but pure joy on a plate.
If you’re into your wine pairings, you couldn’t find a better spot. Peruse the mouthwatering menu, of which every individual dish has a recommended wine to sip on. If that’s not magnifique, then what is?
To live your real life version of Emily in Paris (come on, we know you watched it) take a stroll down the Esplanade to Bistrot Cafe. Et voila! Open Monday to Tuesday from 6:30am ‘til 2:30pm and Wednesday to Sunday ‘til 9pm.
