Head chef Ben Keal serves up honest, seasonal and hearty food designed to be shared among friends and enjoyed with The Stables carefully crafted cocktails or sophisticated wines. If you’re looking for a place to hold your next birthday party or event, head straight to the Chef’s Table where you’ll find a three-course meal waiting to be wolfed down.
Keal has just released The Stables' new menu and it is a thing of beauty. Featuring goodness like Amelia Park lamb rump with beetroot hummus, pickled carrot, feta and shaved Brussel sprouts and cajun spiced barramundi with capsicum and macadamia feta, kohlrabi and grapefruit, you'll be scheduling a return visit in no time at all. As always, there's winning share food like pork belly bites with a soy-hoisin glaze, crispy chicken wings with blue cheese sauce and mac and cheese croquettes with truffle oil, so there's always something delicious to sink those beers with. And for dessert, we're in love with the coconut panna cotta with a mango, pineapple and chilli salsa, ginger and biscuit.
To keep things interesting, The Stables is hosting a series of wine dinners inspired by some of Europe's most flavourful countries. Kicking off with France at 7pm on 20 June, punters can enjoy a five-course menu paired with some of the best French wines.
