The Verdict

Whether you're in the mood for a round of after work bevvies in the garden bar, getting competitive at a trivia night or having a schmancy-pants dinner at the restaurant, The Windsor Hotel in South Perth has got it all, and now they've added a brewery into the mix.

After some massive refurbishments, the garden bar out the back has got to be one of Perth's best courtyards to soak up the sun with a drink in hand, not to mention a pizza, fresh from the wood fire oven. While you can't technically book a spot at the garden bar, if you're celebrating with a group of more than 20 they do have one table that can be reserved, so if you've got a special occasion coming up you know what to do.

When the sun isn't shining, the front bar at The Windsor is the perfect spot for a pint while you chow down on some of the best pub grub in Perth—the halloumi fries, jalapeno poppers and the buffalo chicken wings are not to be missed.

If you're keen to mix up your weekday routine, pop down to The Windsor for toastie Thursday where you can get a gourmet toasted cheese sandwich and chips for $15, or swing by on Friday for half-priced pizzas. 

If you're feeling fancy, the Windsor's restaurant is where it's at. The chilli mussels are some of the best in Perth and if you're into steak, you've come to the right place. Finish your meal with an epic cheeseboard or their Italian lemon tart and you'll be satisfied for days.

Be sure to check out The Windsor's newest addition: The Ogden's Brewery, run by father and son team Geofrey and William Ogden. Located in The Windsor's amazing Garden Bar, you can swing by to grab their delicious craft beers on tap, and maybe even chat to the head brewer Damo about his latest creations. He'll even take you on a tour of the brewery if it's a Friday, so you can see what goes on in the making of these tasty ales and lagers. 

If you're in the mood for some seafood, you'd better book your tickets to Crab Day on 23 May. Get your hands on fresh crabs with a side of fries and bread, and for drinks, you'll get to enjoy two hours of unlimited Madfish wine and beer straight from Odgen's Brewery. There's nothing better than crabs and beer, apart from more crabs and beer—this amazing feast is returning each month on the third Thursday, so grab your mates and head down to the Windsor for an all-out crab-fest.
