The Verdict
Chef Leigh Power brings his passion for hawker-style Asian street food to the menu at Tonic & Ginger, the new two-storey eatery at Fremantle’s The Old Synagogue. The wide range of hot, sour, sweet and salty Asian fusion dishes will have you salivating as you indulge in a culinary journey in historic surroundings. Start with bite-sized dishes such as crispy pork ribs with fragrant peanut satay and pickled cucumber salad; graze on salt and pepper chicken wings with kim chi caramel or feast on tagorashi spiced rump cap with mushroom jam and black pepper sauce. Don't forget delicious sides including flaky paratha bread with curry butter.
If you find it too hard to make a decision, that’s okay! For $54pp, let the chef choose with the Tonic & Ginger Feed Me menu. Your taste buds will thank you later.
