The Verdict
If you’re looking for your new favourite fish and chip shop, we’ve found it.
Opening out onto Bathers Beach in Fremantle fishing boat harbour, Twin Fin just popped up and it’s slinging affordable, sustainable fish and other delicious bites. Fish burgers, regular burgers, chicken burgers, veggie burgers are on the menu, as well as an array of tasty battered fish, all local.
If you’re looking to double down on seafood, you can also chow down on fresh prawns, oysters, mussels or squid. And of course, there are plenty of chips as well (including halloumi chips; um, yes please).
What’s more is that this Saturday, 14 December, Twin Fin (in partnership with Gage Roads) will be slinging all sorts of goodies on Opening Day from noon. With menu tasting items, free soft serve for kids, in-store specials, door prizes and 2 for 1 Single Fins and 2 for 1 burgers (but only the first 50 burgers are free, so get in quick), Twin Fin is definitely on the fast track to becoming a local favourite.

White tablecloths, marble, jacketed wait staff and caviar bumps—Gibney is hands down the fanciest of all the venues under George Kailis' name. And honestly, it might just take the cake for 'most opulent dining destination' in all of Perth.
Tom’s Providore & Wine Bar
If you’re a Leederville local, you will probably recall the devastation felt the day we discovered the beloved Tom’s Cafe right in the heart of Oxford Street was closing down towards the start of the pandemic. But thankfully since closing the OG, the legends have come back with a new and improved Tom’s in Highgate.
