The Verdict
Velvet Espresso has been serving up some of the best coffee in Perth for years and they seem to just keep getting better. Sitting at the St George’s Terrace end of King Street, Velvet is well known amongst the nine to five crowd for a quick caffeine hit, but they also whip up drool worthy breakfasts for an absolute steal.
With most breakfasts coming in at under $15, it would almost be rude not to sit down and tuck into some of the best mushrooms in Perth. If you’re more of a smashed avo kind of person, never fear. Velvet’s version is generous, flavoursome and topped with a perfectly poached egg that will fill you up well into the afternoon.
They also do breakfast bowls and smoothie bowls if you’re after something light, not to mention fresh juices which will give you a vitamin hit when you’re feeling less than 100%.
