Hope & Sesame Tops Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 As Jigger & Pony Leads Singapore

Singapore’s cocktail scene has once again secured its place among the region’s elite, with Jigger & Pony leading the city’s charge on the newly released Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 list.

The annual ranking, announced in Macau on 28 July, crowned Guangzhou’s Hope & Sesame as The Best Bar in Asia 2026. The hidden speakeasy took the No.1 spot after years of climbing the rankings, becoming mainland China’s top-performing bar and signalling the country’s growing influence on Asia’s cocktail scene.

For Singapore, the biggest headline is Jigger & Pony, which landed at No.9 and retained its title as The Best Bar in Singapore. The long-time favourite continues to be one of the city’s benchmark drinking destinations, known for its polished hospitality and inventive cocktail programme. Its co-founder Indra Kantono was also awarded the Roku Industry Icon Award 2026, recognising his contribution to Singapore’s rise as a global cocktail capital.

Singapore secured four spots on this year’s list, reinforcing the city’s reputation for world-class drinking experiences with a distinctly local point of view. Also making the cut were:

• Nutmeg & Clove at No.12
• Offtrack at No.16
• Origin Bar at No.43

Nutmeg & Clove continues to stand out for cocktails inspired by Singapore’s history, landmarks and hawker culture, while Offtrack’s music-first approach keeps it one of the city’s most exciting neighbourhood bars. Origin Bar returned to the list after a year away, bringing its theatrical old-school train station aesthetic back into the regional spotlight.

While Bangkok topped the rankings with the highest number of bars in the top 50, Singapore remains one of Asia’s strongest cocktail destinations, consistently producing bars that resonate with both international judges and local drinkers.
