I went to Cirque du Soleil: KOOZA in Singapore fully expecting it to be good. I did not expect to be that blown away.

From the moment you step under the Big Top, it feels like an occasion. The live band kicks things off, the lights dim, and suddenly you’re completely transported. The energy is electric. The costumes are vibrant and theatrical. And within minutes, you’re gripping your seat wondering how on earth the human body is capable of doing what you’re watching.

The acrobatics are genuinely jaw-dropping. The high wire act had the entire tent holding its breath. The Wheel of Death was heart-in-mouth stuff (I realised at one point I hadn’t blinked in a solid minute). The contortionist and unicycle duo were so polished it almost didn’t make sense. Every act felt sharper and more daring than the last, and just when you think it can’t possibly escalate, it does.

But the real standout? The Trickster. Completely magnetic. Mischievous, funny without being cheesy, and absolutely committed to his character from start to finish. Even when he wasn’t centre stage, he was on—reacting, interacting, drawing the audience in. The kids were obsessed with him, and honestly, so were the adults. He ties the whole production together and gives it that extra spark that makes the show feel cohesive rather than just a series of impressive acts.

Speaking of kids, this show is such a win for families. The little ones around us (mine included) were wide-eyed and totally mesmerised (which says everything). It’s colourful, fast-paced and never drags, but it’s also sophisticated enough that adults are just as entertained. It feels nostalgic in a beautiful, classic circus way, but elevated to world-class theatre with precision, storytelling and serious athleticism.

Now, let’s talk about the VIP experience because yes, we tried it. And if you can afford to upgrade, I’d say it’s absolutely worth it. The premium seating makes a huge difference. You catch every expression, every near miss, every tiny detail in the costumes and choreography. Being closer to the action amplifies the tension (especially during those death-defying moments), and the added comforts and perks make it feel like a full evening out rather than just a show. If you’re marking a special occasion or just want to make it a proper night, this is the way to do it.

So, is Cirque du Soleil: KOOZA worth it? Definitely. It’s spectacular, polished, thrilling and surprisingly funny. It works for kids, impresses adults and leaves you walking out slightly stunned at what you’ve just witnessed.

Would I go again? In a heartbeat. If you’re even considering tickets, take this as your sign.

Ticket Info

Tickets start from $98, with multiple categories available for families, superfans and anyone who prefers a bit of distance between themselves and the contortionists. For the full treat-yourself moment, the VIP Experience ($378) includes premium seats, access to a private lounge, gourmet canapes, premium drinks and exclusive KOOZA merch to take home (it's basically the circus equivalent of flying business class). Tickets can be purchased online via Fever and SISTIC. KOOZA is on now at the Bayfront Event Space until 29 March 2026.
