After a three-year hiatus, cult sandwich institution Park Bench Deli will officially make its comeback on 10 January 2026 with a three-month pop-up at The Pantry, part of the COMO Group, at 16A Dempsey Road.

For fans who’ve been nursing Telok Ayer Road-era cravings since the much-loved American-style sandwich shop shuttered in 2023, this is the comeback you’ve been waiting for. The pop-up marks a reset rather than a reinvention, with the same attitude, same unapologetically indulgent sandwiches, new leafy postcode.

From 9am to 4pm (Thursday to Tuesday), all-day breakfast and sandwiches take centre stage. Classics like the Pastrami Reuben, Hot Fried Chicken, and Philly Cheesesteak return, alongside brunch heavyweights such as the Sausage Egg Muffin and the fully stacked PBD Big Breakfast. PBD still takes flavour seriously, no matter the protein, with a solid meat-free option in the Broccoli Falafel Smash Burger.

Weekends dial things up further. From 6pm to 10pm on Fridays to Sundays, sister concept Rosita’s Deluxe takes over as a pop-up within the pop-up, serving smashed, double-stacked cheeseburgers with dive-bar energy. Think the no-frills Rosita’s OG, a fully loaded Western Burger, and essential sides like Garlic Cheese Fries.

Families aren’t forgotten either. A dedicated kids’ menu covers comfort classics from chicken tenders to macaroni chicken soup, designed to keep smaller diners happy while adults linger.

The drinks programme runs from morning to night, with classic cocktails like daytime-drinking-friendly Aperol Spritzes, Australian wines by the glass and beers. Non-alcoholic drinks are certainly available, with smoothies, cold-pressed juices and nostalgic house favourites like the PBJ Cold Brew Latte keeping pace with the day.

Expect the familiar neighbourhood-first hospitality that built PBD’s cult following, transplanted into Dempsey’s laidback, green surroundings. Inside, the space leans heavily into nostalgia, with legacy details like the original signboard, street art and skateboards from the Telok Ayer days, all anchored by that unmistakable neon-blue PBD logo and a soundtrack that feels very on brand. Prices are approachable, portions remain generous, and the vibe is unmistakably Park Bench.
