Matcha Lovers, Raffles Hotel Singapore Just Dropped A Matcha Sling
To mark 60 years of Singapore–Japan diplomatic ties, Raffles Hotel Singapore is leaning into the green tea obsession with a series of limited-time, matcha-led experiences this April. The headline act? A Matcha Sling (a bold, on-trend remix of Singapore’s most iconic cocktail) alongside a lineup of equally matcha-forward treats.
Let’s start at Long Bar, where the Matcha Sling takes centre stage. This isn’t just a gimmick, it’s a thoughtful rework of the classic, blending Brass Lion Singapore Dry Gin with ceremonial-grade Uji matcha from Kyoto. Expect layers of citrus, soft floral sweetness from elderflower liqueur, and a subtle tea finish that ties it all together. It’s smooth, lightly bitter, and very drinkable. Priced at $38++ and available from 1 April through 31 December 2026.

On the food front, Raffles Boutique is dropping a Matcha Kaya that taps straight into Singaporean nostalgia. The familiar coconut-and-egg base gets a modern twist with the addition of Japanese matcha, bringing a deeper, more complex flavour profile (think creamy, slightly earthy, and balanced with just enough bitterness). At $16 for a 200g jar, it’s an easy add-to-cart for anyone fully committed to their matcha era. It’s available from 1 April.
Rounding things out is a sakura-season afternoon tea at The Grand Lobby (6–12 April 2026), where matcha makes multiple appearances across the menu (rom choux pastries to delicate desserts) alongside Japanese-inspired savouries. Expect highlights like matcha azuki kinako choux, sakura castella cake, and strawberry verrines, plus classic scones with clotted cream and rose petal jam. Prices start from $108++ per guest, with the option to add a Matcha Sling for $30++.
Raffles Hotel Singapore is betting big on matcha right now, and if your order history says anything about you, you probably are too.
