Scoot’s New Flights Unlock Two Underrated Indonesian Escapes
Scoot is serving up fresh travel inspo with the launch of two new Indonesian routes—hello, Belitung and Pontianak—plus a wave of extra flights across its network just in time for your next getaway. Taking off from 3 May 2026, Belitung will see twice-weekly services, followed by Pontianak from 29 June 2026 with three flights a week. Translation: more excuses to lock in that tropical escape or spontaneous long weekend.
First up, Belitung is a low-key island gem off the coast of Sumatra that’s big on crystal-clear waters, dramatic granite rock formations and untouched beaches. It’s also home to the ultra-rare Belitung tarsier (yes, it’s as cute as it sounds). Prefer your trips with a side of culture and food? Pontianak has you covered. Sitting right on the equator, this riverside city is known for its buzzing street food scene, rich heritage and the iconic Equator Monument—perfect for that “two hemispheres at once” photo op.

Even better, fares start from just $99 to Belitung and $129 to Pontianak (inclusive of taxes), with bookings now live via Scoot’s website and app. With these additions, Scoot’s network grows to a whopping 85 destinations across 18 countries and territories (aka plenty more places to add to your travel hit list).
And it doesn’t stop there. Scoot is also upping flight frequencies across major hotspots from April through June 2026, including Bali, Jakarta, Phuket, Okinawa and even Vienna. With more flights rolling out ahead of the school holiday rush, it’s never been easier to plan that beach break, city escape or long-haul adventure.
