The Gold Coast Is Scoring An Award-Winning Musical Next Month—And You Can Still Snag Tickets

13th Jun 2023
Written by: Isabella Jeffrey

With the cooler weather coming in, why not escape the cold with an unmatched theatre experience right at our doorstep here on the Gold Coast. Presented by Darlinghurst Theatre Company and Home of the Arts Once, the musical is a theatre experience like no other.

After stealing the hearts of audiences in both Sydney and Melbourne, the Gold Coast is the next lucky city to be showing the award-winning production exclusively for Queenslad from 17 June–22 June.

Based on the movie by the same name, Once follows the story of two musicians and their journey being brought together by love, passion and the transformative power of music. With a cast all playing their own instruments and even roller skating on stage, its production quality is enough to make this a musical not to be missed!

If that hasn’t already got you jumping to the checkout for tickets, New Zealand-Australian actor Jay Laga'aia will be joining the cast of 13 alongside Toby Francis and Stefanie Caccam who are reprising roles they previously captivated audiences with nationally.

Brought to life by Darlinghurst Theatre Company and Home of the Arts, grab tickets from $84 for HOTA members and $99 for adults so you can enjoy a theatre experience that will awe-struck you long after the final note.
